Kotaro Kiyomiya led St. Louis to a triumph over Boston. The final score was 8-7. The first baseman went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 2 RBI. With the victory, the Flyers upped their record to 26-21.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, two-time Charlie Gehringer Award winner Bill Dahlen had a chance to be the hero. Boston pitcher Cole Sands wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Dahlen hit a sacrifice fly. The Flyers had themselves a thrilling win.

"I still think this team can play even better," Kiyomiya told the St. Louis Gazette.
