Host Missions Drop Pivotal Game 5, Now Trail Series 3-2
|
Philadelphia Keystones center fielder Mike Trout was the difference-maker at Missions Point Park today, as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the League Championship Series. The Keystones took the 5-3 win over the San Francisco Missions to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Trout. In the top of the seventh inning, when the Keystones were trailing 2-1, Trout delivered a two-out grand slam home run for Philadelphia, giving his team the lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Trout. "And not try to do too much."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 19th , 2019 at Keystone Stadium in Philadelphia.
