Midgets Heading to Round 2
After their 2-1 win today at Robbers Ballpark over the Rochester Lakers, the Des Moines Midgets will advance to the Round 2. Des Moines won the series by a 3-1 margin.

Leading the way for the Midgets was shortstop Willi Castro, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Des Moines Midgets will play against the Miami Rosa Blancas in the next round. Miami won their series against the Albuquerque Whites 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
