Daily Hit Streak Soars to 31 Games Tuesday, July 11th , 2045 Alex Daily, third baseman for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 3 hits in his club's 17-4 victory over the Dayton Dragons at Parkview Field. "Not the outcome we wanted," Dayton manager Ray Hernandez said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Alex Daily hit a two-run home run off Alex Gonzalez in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th.
