Hitting Streak Still Alive for Balderama Wednesday, September 7th , 2039 The Eugene Emeralds fell to the Vancouver Canadians in PK Park, even as 22-year-old right fielder Jesus Balderama upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Balderama finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Emeralds from dropping the 8-3 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Balderama. Jesus Balderama flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Armondo Dorso in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This season, Balderama is batting .318 with 17 home runs. |
