Perez Gone for Season in Tri-City Saturday, August 6th , 2039 Alex Perez has to call it a season. The Tri-City Dust Devils first baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Eugene Emeralds and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Perez was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn calf muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. This year, Perez has socked 46 hits in 172 at-bats for a .267 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .317 pace and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
