Hillsboro's Gonzales Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Friday, July 14th , 2045 It was a big day for Willie Gonzales and he brought the Hillsboro Hops along for the ride. Gonzales led his club to victory, 5-4, over the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium, smoking Vancouver pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 22-year-old right fielder later called the victory "sweet." Willie Gonzales singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, was hit by a pitch in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 14th.
