Campas Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, August 21st , 2039 Alex Campas of the Corpus Christi Hooks has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 5-1 triumph over Amarillo at Whataburger Field. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Campas said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Alex Campas singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Campas is hitting .381 for the season with 11 home runs, 72 RBIs and 95 runs scored. He has 177 hits in 465 at-bats and played in 102 games. |
