20-Game Hitting Streak for White Sunday, August 21st , 2039 The number just keeps getting higher. Corpus Christi shortstop Omari White has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 4 at-bats as the Corpus Christi won the game, 5-1, over the Amarillo Sod Poodles at Whataburger Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Amarillo manager Tyler Grimes said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Omari White singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the season, White is hitting .332, batted in 80 runs with 16 home runs and 99 runs scored. |
