Durham Takes Round 2 in Deciding Game Sunday, September 11th , 2039 The Durham Bulls were paced by a strong offensive output from Kalmaria Grife as they downed the Memphis Redbirds 3-2 to win the Round 2. Durham won the final game by a score of 5-3 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park to send themselves off to the Round 3. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said second baseman Grife, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .320 with a .320 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Durham Bulls will play against the Rochester Red Wings in the next round.
