Red Wings Move on to Round 3 Friday, September 9th , 2039 The fans in Rochester are celebrating the Red Wings victory over the Toledo Mud Hens in the Round 2. They defeated the Toledo Mud Hens 3-2 in the finale played at Fifth Third Ballpark to capture the series 3-1. Willie Cordero was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Red Wings shortstop batted .467, drove in 2 runs and scored 3 runs in the series. "The Mud Hens are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Cordero said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The Rochester Red Wings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Durham Bulls - Memphis Redbirds series. Durham leads the series 2 games to 1.
