Iowa's Ortiz AAA E #1 Batter in July Monday, August 1st , 2039 At only 24 years of age, Robby Ortiz could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Iowa Cubs, as July was one to remember for the left fielder and he has captured the Triple-A East Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .426 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and 21 runs scored. So far this season, Ortiz is batting .340 with 5 home runs, 43 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 130 hits in 382 at-bats, 15 walks and a .379 OBP. Ortiz has played in 94 games. |
