Tides End Cox Streak Wednesday, July 13th , 2039 The 23-game hitting streak of Adonis Cox has come to an end. The Omaha Storm Chasers third baseman went 0-for-3 in his team's 7-0 loss to the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park. "It's not just Adonis who came up short," Storm Chasers manager Michael Collins said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." So far this season, Cox is batting .319 with 5 home runs, 41 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 95 hits in 298 at-bats, 32 walks and a .395 OBP. Cox has played in 75 games. |
