Cox Keeps Hit Streak Alive Friday, July 8th , 2039 Adonis Cox collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Omaha Storm Chasers, beat the St. Paul Saints, 11-3. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Cox quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Adonis Cox singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the year, Cox has hit at a .319 clip with 40 RBIs, 5 home runs and 41 runs scored. |
