Bobby Mata Captures AAA E Award Monday, May 23rd , 2039 Pitchers who faced the Indianapolis Indians last week were happy to see Bobby Mata in the rear-view mirror. The 26-year-old second baseman was dubbed the Triple-A East Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .500 clip. For the week he also chalked up 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Mata has a .371 average and a .426 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 33 hits, 3 home runs and driven in 19 runs. |
