Cincinnati Swaps Patteson to Toronto for Rouse Monday, August 1st , 2039 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Reds announced today the acquisition of 28-year old 3B Daniel Rouse and $1,500,000 in cash from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for 19-year old minor league RHP Jose Patteson. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Reds, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This season, Rouse is batting .228 with 81 hits, 26 home runs, 62 RBIs, .317 OBP and has scored 46 runs. |
