Twins Deal Costas to Angels for Lujan Monday, August 1st , 2039 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Angels have agreed to a deal that will have 25-year old SS Elias Gallegos, 32-year old RHP Jose Pantaleon, and 26-year old 2B Melvin Costas heading to Los Angeles in exchange for 36-year old 2B Marcelo Mayer, 25-year old SS Kaden Sanders, 25-year old minor league 2B Mike Lujan, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. At present, Costas is batting .263 with 100 hits and 17 home runs. He has knocked in 53 runs and scored 56 times. Lujan has a career .243 batting average with a .340 OBP. He has hit 8 homers, driven in 57 runs and scored 118 runs since he came into the league. |
