Toribio 7-for-9 for Atlanta (AZL) Wednesday, July 12th , 2045 The Atlanta (AZL) Braves Blue stopped the Colorado (AZL) Rockies by a score of 36-14 at Ballpark of Pilot Point, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Dave Toribio. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 7 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Toribio said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Toribio did just that in his 9 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Rockies. "Not much that I can say," offered Colorado (AZL) manager Kyle Hendricks. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Dave Toribio hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
