Great Stroke: Alston Gets 5 Hits
A jubilant Jordan Alston joined the postgame press conference at Everett Memorial Stadium to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Everett AquaSox pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Vancouver Canadians second baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 15-7 Canadians win.

"He made it look easy," said Jonathan Albaladejo, manager of the AquaSox. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Jordan Alston singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

This season, Alston has hit at a .500 clip and produced 13 RBI, 4 home runs and 14 runs.
