Harris Jr. Stops Richmond Cold, 3-0
|
It wasn't easy but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats made it look that way.
Starter Garrett Harris Jr. shut out the Richmond Flying Squirrels despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats cruised to victory, 3-0. Harris Jr. allowed only 5 hits and rang up 3 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
Thus far this season, Harris Jr. has worked 125.1 innings with 82 strikeouts en route to a 6-7 record and a 5.03 ERA.
