It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Szczester Surga -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Polar Park and paced the 12-5 Red Sox win over the Buffalo Bisons.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Worcester center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Szczester Surga hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

For the year, Surga has hit .224 with no home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 16 runs.
