Orioles Earn 3-1 Road Win Over Boston
|
The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston Red Sox, 3-1, at Fenway Park. Leading the charge for Baltimore was center fielder Johnny Pimentel. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Randy Hochstetler finished the game for Baltimore and earned his 8th save. Baltimore is second in the American League East Division with a record of 82-69.
Pimentel had a timely hit for Baltimore in the top of the sixth. With Baltimore trailing 1-0, he turned a first pitch splitter into a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season, making it 3-1, Baltimore.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Pimentel told the Baltimore Gazette.
