Yankees Earn Late Win
|
The New York Yankees and Texas Rangers played an exciting game.
The New York Yankees had to overcome a fine effort from Texas pitcher Chris Harding to win, 4-3, in 10 innings at Globe Life Field. Harding went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Yankees, at 69-79, have now won 7 straight.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Gus Familia? The 24-year old left fielder Familia stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put New York up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Texas skipper Austin Dixon.
