Dodgers Net 4-2 Win Over Cubs
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Los Angeles Dodgers got the win.
Los Angeles pitcher Josh Henline did his part in helping his team defeat the Chicago Cubs, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Henline got the win, improving to 7-6. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. Raul Duran picked up the save for Los Angeles, his 2nd of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Marvin Carrillo? The Los Angeles third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 3-2. For the game, Carrillo had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Carrillo told the Los Angeles Daily News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
Los Angeles is now 73-52, while Chicago is 63-61.
