The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Las Vegas Vipers, 4-2, in American League action at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Los Angeles pitcher Jeremy Parks had a standout performance. Victor McQueen, now 7-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The Angels sport a record of 42-83.

Los Angeles took a 4-2 lead on Joel Thurmon's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Thurmon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher Steve Nash visibly frustrated.
