Globe Life Field was the site for American League action featuring the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers got a good effort from starter Mel Santana in defeating the Los Angeles Angels at Globe Life Field. The final score was 5-0. Victor Figueroa was credited with the save for Texas, his 3rd of the season.

The Rangers got a big at-bat from left fielder Oskar Palan. For the game, Palan was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Texas a 3-0 lead.

Palan told a Texas Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
