The Seattle Mariners got a strong performance from pitcher Chris Aldridge. Flat Tire stymied the Las Vegas offense en route to a solid, 6-2 win at T-Mobile Park. Aldridge, the winner, moves to 13-4. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 3 walks. Andy Mundy, credited with the save, is now 15 for 18 in save opportunities.

Seattle left fielder Anthony Cooper contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 99th hit of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 3-1.

"Chris was pounding the zone," said Seattle manager Jared Mariners.

The Mariners, at 67-37, sit in second place in the American League West Division.
