Starting pitcher Olivia Richardson was a major factor in the 2-0 Seattle Mariners triumph over the New York Mets. The save was credited to Lonnie Donahue, his 12th. Seattle is now 59-42, while New York is 36-65.

Richardson, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 6.1 innings for the Mariners. For the most part, New York hitters were simply overmatched.

"Olivia gave us a heck of an effort," said Seattle manager Jared Mariners.
