New York Hangs 8-4 Loss on Boston
|
The New York Yankees knocked off the Boston Red Sox, 8-4, in American League action at Yankee Stadium. New York pitcher and Potsdam, New York, native Dave Mata had an outstanding performance. The victory gives New York a record of 50-44.
Catcher Justin Millen made an impact for New York, when he swatted a 2-run double off Alfredo Cheno in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Millen was 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Millen said. "We did a good job of that today."
