Frias Excels in 11-7 Los Angeles Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Frias helped the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 11-7. Victor Puerto, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-3. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1 innings. By defeating New Orleans, the third-place Dodgers improved to 44-45.
In the first inning, Frias had a 2-run double for Los Angeles. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Dodgers on top, 2-0.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Los Angeles skipper Mike Dodgers.
