Dodgers Fall Short, 3-2, at San Francisco
|
San Francisco registered a win at Oracle Park by beating the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2. Pitcher Jonathan Wells was one reason why the Giants triumphed. The winner in relief was Tim Hall. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Nazir Lack earned the save, his 8th, for the Giants.
San Francisco took a 2-1 lead on Bill Aracena's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Aracena hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Josh Henline visibly frustrated.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Aracena told a San Francisco Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The victory puts San Francisco at 19-35.
