Sweet Sweep for San Jose
The San Jose Giants rolled over the Visalia Rawhide 6-2 at Excite Ballpark to easily win the 2040 Round 2 crown.

San Jose won in a walk and swept the series from the Rawhide 4-0. It was their 3rd championship title.

Winning manager Mario Lisson praised his own club as well as the opposition, calling the Rawhide "a fine team."

"It wasn't as easy as it looked. We had to play good baseball to beat them," he said. "We always seemed to come up with the key hit at the right time and to make the plays on defense when we had to. That's how you win the Round 2."

The Giants took second place in the Northern Division and rounded out the year with a 63-57 record.
